Dorothy, the peregrine falcon who fledged 43 young atop of the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland, is missing and presumed dead.

Juanita over at CMNH posted this on their forum.  It is a 2004 tribute to Dorothy's mom by Greg Septon with history of her life and origins.  I thought you might enjoy reading about Beauty's grandmother, Sibella, who was a legend in her own right.

I know, I downloaded it to my desktop for posterity.  Now we also know that Beauty has 'anatum' in her as well, which we all suspected due to her coloring - but it's nice to have it verified.  And how great was her grandma?  Good genes in this girl  wub2
