I remember my friend and I rooting her on to take that first flight. I don't think I have a favorite. I enjoyed them all for different reasons. It was the only year I saw Mariah and Kaver bring up their young and I will treasure the memories forever. I did see a couple of the juvies live in the gorge but never Mariah or Kaver. Long live the king and queen of the high falls! heart heart

I wasn't around here during the days of M & K but I love reading the stories about them..
There is something so touching about these birds who are "birds of prey" but so gentle too.
The wisdom of the ages is in their eyes :-)  heart
