If she's lying down in the area right in front of the box, she's sunning herself to get rid of feather mites.
One of the parents is somewhere within visual range of the eyases at all times. It might be challenging to find them, but they are there.

It's funny though because her head was sometimes below the edge and then I would see her peeking over the edge. Watching and learning about their behaviors is fun - grateful for the experts who answer questions!

I love watching their behavior. Every day, it's something new!

I believe we have a blue foot and a pink foot!
For the newcomers...pink feet will turn yellower soon. The blue feet will stay bluish for a while. I don't think we've seen a "blue foot" as an adult yet to see if there's a difference in the color then. It's just a normal variant in color that we often see in Beauty & Dot.ca's offspring.

I'm not going to wager on male/female quite yet. The smaller one is clearly the younger right now...the down development isn't quite as far along yet.

Early morning feeding by Beauty. It may be too soon, but I'm thinking we have a boy and a girl. What do you think?

I'm giving it a bit more time. The smaller one is also the younger one based on feather development. But the feet are smaller too, so...we shall see!
