The Eggs

Nova was on the eggs overnight.

At 7:51 am, Neander finally came into the nest box. He had a bit of trouble covering all 3 eggs, but he finally did it. Thank goodness there are only three eggs!

During this time, I was downtown for my Easter morning Falcon watch. Nova spent most of her time on the south end of th Cross Rds Bldg. She started alarm kakking and took off chasing off a juvie Bald Eagle. She also took off a few times looking like she was in hunt mode, but we never saw her get anything. I really wanted to see her and Neander with food, but it didn't happen.
At 9:42 am, Nova returned and Neander left.

I watched Neander take off and fly towards the Wilder Bldg. He landed nicely on the Wilder Chimney landing on both feet.
During the time Neander was on the Wilder Chimney, he started ee chupping. I looked up and saw a 3rd falcon coming in from the north an slowly circling above the Times Square Bldg. Neander did not go after this Falcon that I'm pretty sure was a juvie. The juvie Falcon continued circling and flew south down following the river. I believe the juvie only showed interest because s/he heard and saw Neander.
At 11:31 am, Neander left the Wilder Chimney.

At 12:21 pm, Neander is back on the eggs.

1:24 pm. Neander out. Nova in. He flew over to the Wilder Chimney.

Neander is now on top of main camera, Nova on the eggs. 4:40 pm.

6:16 pm. Nova out, Neander in.

At 8:06 pm, Nova returned and Neander got up very stiffly using his wings for support. He took off heading towards Wilder after a very long rest. Almost 2 hrs on the eggs snoozing.
