Good Tuesday Morning!

We are in 3rd place!   Keep those votes coming in so we can move on up!  We are not giving up!

Today's weather word goes along with the day (not raining here just yet)!   "Wet"

Andy is coming to our school tomorrow to work with our 3rd grade students on the Weather Science Experiment that will be part of the weather balloon launch at the Buffalo Airport. We are one of I think 5 schools that were asked to participate.  The target days for the balloon launch are Thursday morning or Monday morning.  I'll keep you posted!   So watch for us!

Good Morning!!!

What a beautiful day its going to be!!!    To go along with that - the today's weather word is:  "Sunny".

Even with the gorgous day, please don't forget to vote!   The more votes the better would help us move up the ladder!   Mission:  vote as much as you can - see who else you can get to help us out!   The contest is not over until its over!

Our school is one of five schools participating in the "Mission 2 The Sky" experiment.  Yesterday Andy came to our school and worked with a group of our children on various weather experiements such as tempurature, wind speed, lift, and tracking and locating (using a GPS system).  On Monday (that's the scheduled day) a weather balloon launch will take place from the Buffalo Airport. The balloon will carry the boxes into the sky (120,000 ft.) and pop releasing the boxes.   Each school will have a box that will carry the instruments to measure everything they had learned.  Channel 2 will have folks that will locate the boxes and then gather the information from each box.  The kids will be able to track the events at school plus go to the airport for the launch.   This has never been done before on a morning program.  It certainly was an exciting morning at Thomas Marks Elem.
Oh the experiment  at our school will be shown Friday morning between 6 and 7 in the morning.

Tofay  Heidi is issuing a challenge!!!!
Please let me know the approximate time you've spent voting (let me know.so i can share it with her). thanks

Good Morning!
We did move up considerably and are closer to second place. Thank you!  I challenge you today  to vote a couple of hours throughout the evening.   It would be great to move up to 2nd place, and who knows!!!!

Today's weather word is " Heat Wave"!

Th balloon launch was postponed until tomorrow morning due to the winds way up in the sky.  The experiment boxes would have wound up in the middle of Lake Erie - not exactly where they would like it.

Get a "Heat Wave"  of votes in!

Over the weekends I vote about once every 5 minutes.  During the week it's tough-I can only get around to it once or twice a day while I'm at work.
