Marion Nash Reports:
Stormin seems to be looking for eggs in the nest. Poor boy is very confused.

That is so sad...I watched Erin for many years. We all knew she wasn't well, but still...
I wonder if they can get to that ledge and remove her remains so that Stormin' can move on?
I hope they can Ei.

Erin and Stormin are living on the west faces ledges of the same nest building. Yesterday 3p.m. food to the ledge. Both Erin and Stormin seen at the same time, on the same ledge. Both disappeared behind the dark, shadowy pillar.

If you take a good look at the photos that were posted on the CPF website, that is not a peregrine falcon the male was "brooding" It was prey. The colouring and feathering of the remains, does not match that of a raptor. These two have been very sneaky. We had a suspicion that they had moved the nest. The spot they have chosen is very tight to see. The behaviour I had been seeing was not of a predators in the area or anything else, but Erin was not in view at any time. Stormin was always seen, until I saw Erin on the top of high condo tower. Just had to get out there and follow her, to the west side of the nest building. Flights to this side of building is not direct but twisting and dodging other buidlings, and they don't always take the same route to get to the new nest. From what I have been seeing, I would not doubt that there is a hatch.

So all those pics of Stormin with "Erin", shading her broken body from the sun, was him actually protecting and mantling his prey?
Glad to hear she's alive and well plus might have a hatch!

From CPF
From CPF
!!! Confirmed Hatch!
May 11, 2015 - Etobicoke - Sun Life Centre
CPF Postmaster Reports:
Monday May 11th - 2015
A quick round of the web cams and it appears that everyone’s suspicions were correct, in that some time between Friday and Saturday, there was indeed a hatch out in Etobicoke! At least one egg has hatched, and via the photo evidence, three eggs remained unhatched as of this late afternoon.
Congratulations Etobicoke!!!
Congrats O'Connor and Lucky!

Bloor Islington: The first hatch was last night, not on the weekend. I have photos of 4 eggs all weekend and yesterday until last night at 7.10 pm when she pulled a shell out from under her. Two feedings have occurred this morning so far.

King St. Busy at work today but have seen 2 falcons on cam here most of the morning and female laying in scrape just like Erin used to do all the time. Hoping they can get an ID to positively confirm it's her but all behaviours are similar
