I think these will be the sections we should consider.

1) Mariah & Cabot-Sirocco Years
2) Mariah & Kaver Years
3) Archer & Beauty Years

We might also want to include a section on the time before that, when RG&E was involved with helping to bring the Peregrine Falcon back to this area.  Lisa McK are you out there?  I know you have a lot of information from that time.

Any other suggestions???

Just a little thought that flickered for a moment -- any follow-up on offspring we know are somewhere, succeeding in their adult lives?  Or is that covered somewhere else...?  I'm still not caught up on everything that is going on here...although I am looking more!  Of course, I am thinking about your "adopted" daughter, Carol, the one and only Rhea Mae!!  But, there are some others.  Or is this strictly what has happened in Rochester and The Nesting Box?  Just looking for clarification, I guess... Thanks, Carol!

You are absolutely correct Anne!

We will definitely include sections for the M&K/M&CS young that we know about; including Rhea Mae, Valiant, Seneca, Freedom, Alkyonis, Quest, etc, etc. and then there's the grandkids.  I think Ei has a pretty extensive list due to her work on the family tree.

Also, our transmitter birds and what happened to them; Hafoc, Skye & Quest.

Let our brainstorming session begin!

Carol, that's pretty much how I've been thinking-4 main topics

-Rochester's role in the peregrine recovery effort
-Mariah & Cabot-Sirocco
-Mariah & Kaver
-Archer & Beauty

with chapters by year.  And since it's a living history, we'll add whatever happens at KP as it happens.

Yes, I have most of the names of grand & great-grand-eyases-and if not a name, at least the gender.  There's a LOT of birds!

Carol,

Do you think Mike Allen would be interested in contributing?  (At least providing some oral history-- or a DEC perspective)?

Good idea Jeanne.  I was thinking that we should also have an area that would contain interviews with key people, Watchers, Falcon Fans.  Also, a section for all of our stories, of which there are many.   happy

Hi Carol P.

Yes, I am out here, but very rarely do I have chance to check the forum.  I'd be more than happy to contribute what I know about the early years of the Rochester Falcons.  Just give me a call or send me a text, I don't get to the board very much.

Thanks Lisa!  I'll be in touch soon about this.  We really need to get this going, now that the holidays are almost over.

I like the idea of the interviews-- I think there was a lot that went into the initial nestbox/idea/hope for falcons!

OK, volunteers.  I'll be soon setting up a place for all of us to start collecting the Rochester Falcon History.  Keep watching!  Any one else want to help?  Just post here and I'll add you to the list.  It's a great time to get started on this project.  Thanks everyone!
