All but 1 right? The 2 looked way different from the 1 real falcon egg!

Yes egg 1 is a falcon egg. They had to put in 2 other eggs to get them to incubate.

Maybe it's like S2 was - her hormones have to turn first. Remember when S2 took over for Ma? And ates all the kids food and stuff and then one day, it clicked and suddenly she started caring for the babies. Froona used to say it's all to do with the hormones and which stage she's at.

She was on the eggs this morning. And she is on now. This is another soap opera. Whose child is that?

This weekend the falcon pair nesting atop 101 Hudson St. in Jersey City received two additional donor eggs from Zoologist Kathy Clark, with the Endangered and Nongame Species Program. This time they were brown chicken eggs. After placing the one egg in the nest last week we learned from the experts at The Peregrine Fund that the pair needed a full clutch to begin incubating.
The pair have been incubating ever since! Now we can make plans to foster 1-2 nestlings into the nest in several weeks. Most likely we'll look to collect young from a bridge nest site where the fledging rates are low (many young fall onto roadways or into open water and do not survive). This will give them a better chance of fledging.

So...the peregrine egg...I'm guessing it isn't a viable egg?

Probably none of the eggs are viable. They just want to get the parent hormones flowing so they can give them a hatchling or two.

That was my thought, but there had been some chatter about the peregrine egg hatching at some point so I was a bit confused.
