The one by the nestbox now 9:11 appears to be a tiercel

Looks like male, small!

All these possibilities, maybe a 3rd? Can they see in the box?

Don't worry, Tracy and Bruce will find out what is going on - you have 2 decades of CPF experience there so they will get to the bottom of it.

Hang tight...

SEcond falcon just flew in and into nest box.  Other still on ledge.  The one that flew in looked larger to me but it was fast.

Tracy says what you may have seen is Skye scraping...she said he got in there scraped and then laid down with his face in the sand with his feet pushed right back and wings spread out so on a refresh that's likely what was seen earlier.  So of course it might look like a bird down to us.

So no body in box, Quest has been positively ID'd and so has Skye.  Both are well and seem to be bonding.

No worries nycbird, it's hard to tell sometimes on these kinds of cams what is really happening and better to be safe than sorry.

I'd rather you alert us if you see something than say nothing at all and then find out later that we did miss something.  No harm, no foul and thank you for caring so much.  notworthy

Do NOT apologize! This site is very much in flux right now...I'd hate to ignore something and it turns out to be serious.

Just relieved that everyone is OK.

nyc, you did good because what you see is worth the look. You never know what can happen at any time. I'm glad you watch faithfully and report what you observe! Just glad all is well and both are fine. From the pics, it did look like one was laying down in the nest, my heart stopped! Thank you and keep watching!

nyc-I'd rather be wrong about something than not say anything and have a problem end up being worse because I didn't say anything. You done good!  thumbsup

You had better not go back to lurking.  It's good that you reported what you saw and cared enough to alert us.  If something had happened, help would be there a lot quicker than if you hadn't said anything.

Thanks nycbird!

nycbird, it is so good that you reported this so it could be checked out.  Things can happen quickly and it is always better to report things you see!  You did the right thing!
