 Quest takes away feathers and bones from nest ledge  Both Quest and Kendal bringing in food  Kendal comes in with food. Blaze is there tearing it out of his talons. I would say that Blaze has a temper. Awesome pics by Ann B |

Amora finally took her first flight. Ann said in an email. Quest only at nest now!
she is sitting on the canapy at the back door.
not sure if she can take flight from there.
blaze is all over the place, Mira took another flight as well.
They are on the move. 2nd email

That may be too low for her to take off from too so perhaps Mark or someone from CPF can take her to a higher place.  |

We've had many M&K young come to ground during their first flights and then get themselves out of trouble. This includes her mom, Quest. On her first day of flying, she came to the ground in a parking lot on the north side of the Kodak Tower. After resting, she flew up to the roof of a very low building at the back of the parking lot. She would rest for a couple hours and then fly up to a higher roof. This continued throughout the day into the evening when she ended up on the roof of one of the BeeBee Station Bldgs, where she helped us find her sister who had been missing all day. This same thing happened with other fledglings who's first flights ended up taking them to the ground. As long as they are safe, it is best to stay back at a distance and keep an eye on the bird, making sure others stay away if possible. If she's not injured, she should be able to get herself to a higher spot after resting. I hope we hear from the Watchers that she's moved higher by tomorrow morning.  |

Another quick update. Blaze is flying like a star & Mira had a great day of flying. They spent a lot of time on top of the Harlequin building today.
