Here are a some shots of the mystery falcon that spent quite a bit of time on Xerox SW corner then flew around the buildings and landed on Chase.  He was only on chase momentarily.  The lighting was poor, but this was the only opportunity to catch his legs.

What do you think...does it look like a silver band on the right leg?

Too far for me to tell.  I assume you tried zooming in on his leg?

Is there now a fifth falcon in town?  Is this new falcon at KP the same one that all the watchers are seeing at Medley Centre or St. Annes? Is the one at Medley Center number five?

I think the St. Ann's/Medley center falcon is a female

and  Carol just referred to the falcon as a "she".  An unbanded female?    We are going to need a score card again.  Who knew that Rochester would be such a popular PeFa town?

As long they all stay safe.
Could they be  falcons passing through the area and the high-hormone time is over so for right now there are no battles?

They certainly could be early migrators and the pressure isn't on to defend against all comers.

You know, we've often wondered over the years why Rochester doesn't have more PeFas.  Look at Buffalo...Toronto...Cleveland...can't blink without entering the territory of a different pair.  We'd often joke that it was M&K keeping the whole county clear...maybe it wasn't a joke after all.

I have pics of the female Peregrine that was spotted in Irondequoit last night and a video of her enjoying a meal.

That is starting to make perfect sense to me.  M and K were Fierce defenders of their territory.   And true, I have wondered why Buffalo, Toronto have so many nesting sites compared to Rochester.  So maybe now ROC is now PeFaTown!

WOW!  You are not kidding!  SHE is One big  girl!   Gorgeous  pictures and videos.  Her legs are so long.  What was her  prey?  A gull? It had to be... the feathers were flying.      She is wonderful.. I hope this is family member...to M and K.
