And you know she's being extra vigilant...

...when she's looking in 2 places at once!

Last night's fireworks.

July 4, 2012 Fireworks

The opening barrage startled Beauty, but she came back a few minutes later.

This is really cool. Thank you, Shaky, for inserting the image of B leaving and then coming back into the fireworks video.  Our intrepid Beauty was only gone for about two minutes!  She was right back at her nest!   She is fierce!

Orville's got multiple purposes - friend, teddy bear, pillow...

brought to attention by patsy6 on ustream:

This is such a cute picture! I think that because  our little one is an "only", he/she is clinging to Orville like others that have sibs all pile together and make the big "fluffball" picutres that we all love!  :-)  So Orville has a noble purpose for this little 'un.   And so do the precious eggs that have remained intact but unhatched!

Now DC brings more food, wonder if it's the one B just cached? Sneaky!!

Plucking the wing

"What hon, you just fed her?"

Well, I'm going for it.

  Baby took it!

I know but just wondered if those in the know had any idea when it might be happening. Don't they usually band them at about 24-27 days of age? It would be the DEC that makes the final decision so I guess we wait and see when they give people here the heads up. People were asking on BCAW and I've been wondering.
