I have two questions.

1. Has Orion caught anything on his own yet that you know of? I know he has tried has he had any success?

2. How long will it take Beauty to finish molting?

I don't believe anyone has witnessed him catching anything yet.

Beauty-and Dot.ca for that matter-aren't quite done molting. The main flight feathers should be done by winter since they pretty much go 2 at a time. The secondary & body feathers are a bit further along.

It's time for Orion to catch something on his own.  Now is a very dangerous time for juveniles.  I do believe the adults will stop feeding him.  Although they are helicopter parents.  I bet you guys see him get his first pigeon over the river by the BSB.

The key to that is Orion runs to the spot!
