Dana and I looked for Mariah at Kodak Park and at the Seneca Tower yesterday around 2:00 PM yesterday.  We didn't see anything. although we did notice the falcon nestbox that is still on the Hawkeye building while we were on the east side of the river.  It may be another thing to take a look at while people are out and about.

That nestbox on the Hawkeye building is good news.  Perhaps in a few weeks when the birds start their migrations...Mariah can attract a new mate.  She has a nice area, a nestbox and of course she's a fierce beauty - what more can a single tiercel ask for!  abs-cheers

Hi everyone - I hope to have the time to get used to this forum - I don't want to be left out, but I'm pitifully inept when it comes to the social forums.  I look forward to learning how to be a contributing member   wave  Ok - how do I insert a smiley?  When I double click on it, it ends up saying "wave"  See, I told you I'm bad at this...

Also, Kathy O and I walked out onto the pedestrian bridge that Jim wrote about.  It gave us a wonderful view of the river below and the building that Mariah was seen on.  It's a gorgeous area filled with life.

Brian and I did the same...and spotted a crow on the Kodak Park building.  There were a few boats going by in the gorge too.  It's a nice way to check both directions to see if anything is flying high around the apartment building too.

Boy these trips north are putting a dent in my gas tank.

I think Mariah is doing a stimulus of her own-- we're are driving more and buying more gas.  I have to check out the trail but i did drive around KP on Saturday morning but was falcon less.  I am thrilled that she is around there.  It is a beautiful area.

The "Seneca Zoo" pedestrian bridge is an excellent site for taking fall photos of the gorge, as well as, we hope, pictures of falcons. I've only approached it from the eastern side - now I'll need to figure how how to access it from the west.

The new location for Mariah looks great.  Plenty of room between her and Beauty.  Fabulous.

We need a Powers Building Topic, just in case. I tried to make one but my button vanished. No falcons at the building, just a Spider.  nono

You can add a Powers building topic under Rochester Falcon Discussion board. If we get some news about the falcons at the Powers building, we will definitely add it to this board

Not sure if this is the right way to do this; I am sooo excited!!!!!  happy  Drove by Kodak Park on my way to work this morning (7:30)and saw a PF on the building to the right in parking lot 58!!!!  and on my way home(5:15 pm) turned onto the street off Lapham and a quick right onto the next street coming out to Lake Ave and saw either the Queen or the juvie just soaring between the buildings.  What a beautiful way to start and end a work day!!!  heart  As soon as I get my daughter back to college, I will be spending more time in the area. Hope to see you guys there.  Whoo Hoo!
