RIT has announced it's next BIG SHOT location will be back here in Rochester. Big Shot No. 29 will be a winter/sunset picture of High Falls on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014

I was part of the 2012 RIT Big Shot at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Irondequoit, and it was a lot of fun! Over a fifteen hundred people participated, wearing black from head to toe and illuminating the subject with flashlights. Only the people instructed to wear colors actually appear in the photograph. Seabreeze was in May instead of February. I guess if I go this time I'll have to wear my black parka, and I hope they don't make me stand on the bridge or the observation deck in the dark! The Seabreeze Big Shot can be seen at

If they plan to take the shot from the same angle as the photo in the newspaper, then the Times Square Building wings will be in the shot. It would be cool to get a bunch of rfalconcam fans to come and paint the wings with only the light of our flashlights. Beauty can watch from Mercury or from the OCSR elevator shaft.
