!! Banding Day - 4 of the newest hotel guests,, ALL MALES!!
June 30, 2014 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre
Marion Nash Reports:

Banding Day - May 30th - 2014

A huge thank you again to The great folks at the Toronto Sheraton Hotel for hosting the Banding of the chicks they came through for us as always.
We were joined by some of our corporate partners from TransCanada pipelines and Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt who were on hand again this year to support both us and the peregrines along with many local friends and supporters who all provided names for our young star attractions.

Mark Heaton was on hand representing the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources who banded the young hatchlings. Thank you again OMNR and Mark!

We were also delighted to have members of Queens Park that also provided a name for one of the young hatchlings.
What a great team!!!

We are happy to announce 4 healthy baby falcons,,,,, ALL MALES!

605 grams male - 21 days old named Trout
550 grams male - 20 Days old named Buzz
640 grams male - 18 days old named Oliver
600 grams male - 21 days old named Raulphie

Thanks for posting this information Carly.  I was speaking with Linda W the other day.  She told me that they don't have a lot of volunteers for this location due to it being downtown.  If anyone can help out with the downtown Toronto fledge watches, please post something here and I can get you in touch with Linda.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  This is a hard area to cover.  I sure wish I lived closer!  Thanks!   happy

WOW! I was going to comment on the wings...which are awesome...and the one at the other end on top of the old camera housing...where does the time go?...and the youngest who is still a total fluffball...

Then I noticed it caught Rhea Mae flying in with brunch!

The youngest...if I didn't know better I'd swear he's the same age as ours!

I was quite surprised! I always look to see if the crane is moving and spotted her.

550 grams male - 20 Days old named Buzz
640 grams male - 18 days old named Oliver

Which of these is the little fluffy one, Ei? One would reckon the lightest - Buzz - but he's older than Oliver... who's the heaviest. So, as one might say: "What's the buzz?" SUCH a big difference! Reasons obviously include amount of food... but what else?
