Could RM be slow in laying this year because she is nine years old???? When are pefas considered "old"????

I wouldn't consider her old yet, but certainly not a youngster. I start thinking old at 11 or 12.

There may have been a disturbance early on when Windwhistler was displaced by Stormin' on King St.--it's only a couple of blocks away and Stormin' was hatched here. But I seriously think the delay...and hopefully there will be eggs this year...is due to the building going up across the street.

I agree that the construction of the building across the street may be disturbing RM & T.  Feel bad for them.

Last year she laid her first egg on April 2nd and the year prior to that on April 1st.  Went back to check

Tiago brought food to the nest ledge for Rhea Mae.  She took it and and flew off with it.

6:27 am - Both Rhea Mae and Tiago were bowing in the nest tray.  Now just Rhea Mae.  

6:31 am - RM on ledge now.

6:32 am - Now both gone.

9:41 am - Tiago brought a food gift for Rhea Mae, but she wasn't interested.  He left with the prey and now RM is in the nest tray.

9:45 am - Both gone.

An egg for Rhea Mae and Tiago!  Woohoo!  

I am so happy you saw the egg Kris!  I haven't gotten a peek yet.

Both RM&T were in the nest tray at 4:15 am.  Looked like Tiago was covering the egg and Rhea Mae was standing over him.

6:06 am - One falcon in the nest tray, laying on the egg.  Can't tell if it is Rhea Mae or Tiago.  When I was getting ready for work at 4:15 am, I took a quick peek.  Both were in the nest tray.  Looked like Tiago was covering the egg and Rhea Mae was hovering over him.  Classic!!

7:03 am - They are off the egg now.  It's a beautiful egg!
