What happened by Kate St John. She talks about the chick that died and the 3 unhatched eggs.

I just took a glance at the webcam and it looked like to me that there was more than 1 baby under Dorothy.   She moved and they are covered again.   I'm at work and can't see the live feed, just the still picture.    I can't remember how to save a picture to post.

Any word on the bird?

Wonderful news!   Especially considering all the work CPF did to get a nest tray to them so that they had a chance!

Well, if a reclutch is possible, I believe the current clutch needs to be gone first

     After all those hours of sitting, it has to be heartbreaking for Beauty.   The way she is looking at the egg looks sad.

 
 
So sad.  Will Archer and Beauty dispose of it?   Is that a little chick I am seeing when I enlarge the picture?
Hopefully that is the first egg that was laid.

Both A and B seem very quiet today on the nest.   

That's what I was wondering, if there is a chick in there.  If it was infertile, wouldn't liquid be coming out? 

Didn't they say it was probably because she is young? So with Beauty no I don't think we will have that problem (except with maybe Sophie since she was laid 8 days before the others) Now with Unity I don't know. How old is she? (I forget)

Unity is 2 yrs old BC. Don't forget, Beauty was 2 yrs old also last year when she laid her 1st clutch. Guess it depends on the female.

Beauty was born in 2007 making her 3 years old last year (2010) when she had her first clutch.  In 2009, after they attacked Mariah, Beauty and Archer were believed to have a scrape on Midtown but nothing came of that (she was 2 then). This is A and B's 3rd spring together-2nd clutch.

Didn't Rhea Mae have a full clutch at 2 years old?   4 eggs, all hatched?

Dorothy just fed the chicks, looked like 4 little heads to me!

I know this must have been posted and I missed it, sorry - but who owns the building (and the office!!!) where Quest's scrape actually IS? The photo ops from BRC are outstanding, but who actually has her on their windowsill?

I believe she's on the roof.    Someone mentioned a nestbox - does that mean this year?   With an egg already laid?

It's seeming more and more likely that there is or will be another nest at Kodak Park. 

It reminds me of a movie of the week where a pilot had families in 2 cities and kept flying back and forth between the two, hoping not to get caught! Archer is going to be a busy little man.....      Time will tell if the "wives" meet.....

She's been pretty much sitting on the eggs fulltime since egg #1, at least almost everytime I check.

I happened to just check the camera and there was a falcon at the nest, looked like the female.  Looks like a scrape is started.    Spring is close!
