I just read on the CMNH Forum that Seneca and Cheyenne have a second hatch!
Wonderful News! Little Seneca is a Mommy!

According to Chad & Chris
...
"Yep, we were very surprised when the first chick hatched at 42 days and we were even more surprised this morning when the second chick hatched at 45 days! We could tell when we got the first look at the chick here early this morning that it had just hatched (it was very pink with moist, matted downy feathers)."

It looks like Seneca took the

She and Quest! (And Zephyr since he did make a surprise appearance last year in the Brighton area)! Those 2008 youngsters are full of the unexpected

And don't forget Valiant (formerly known as Sabrina) from 2006, who turned out to be a big boy, not a little girl

It is amazing. This is the first time I heard about this transformation. Maybe I was on an other planet when it was tell.

That would be so sad...but at least #1 seems to be thriving. Keeping good thoughts that #2 will somehow pull through...

It is always sad when one dies, but we have to trust that Seneca knows what she is doing. We saw this first hand with Beauty and the eggs - she knew something was wrong.

I just read on the CMNH Forum that Seneca and Cheyenne's second hatch didn't make it and Seneca removed it from the nest.
The good news is the first hatch, "Warrior", is doing fine.
