Thanks, Ei.
It takes them about a week to settle into a 6 shifts/day pattern.

Neander did a nice job rounding up one egg that had rolled to the side when Nova got up from her shift!

4/22/23 Nest Box Visits
Cloudy with showers likely during the afternoon and possibly a thunderstorm. High 69F with SE winds shifting to SW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain today is 90%. Thunderstorms possible after 1 pm. Currently 51F at 7:08 am.
At 7:43 am, our video cameras captured a male Pefa intruder that briefly visited the nest box and attempted to mate with Nova while Neander was incubating the eggs. Thanks for compiling the video and stills. Brian H later reported later seeing 2 falcons chasing each other near 5 Star. Since Neander was on the eggs at the time, Nova was doing the chasing. Hopefully this intruder will move on and N&N can get back to caring for their eggs!
Changing of the guard at 5:23 am. Nova out, Neander in.

Partly to mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. High 49F with winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. At 7:04 am, the temp is 44F and the sun is shining! Hoping for a peaceful day for our falcons.
There is a marathon being held downtown this morning. Starting/Ending at the Blue Cross Arena. Larry O says it should be finished at noon.
I'm thinking approximately May 6th for hatching?
Auroras tonight.

4/24/23 Nest Box Visits
Mostly cloudy skies today with a chance of rain or wet snow possible. High 47F with winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Currently 40F and cloudy.
In the hope of seeing the Aurora last night, we moved our pan cam, Cam 1, north towards the lake, Lake Ontario. Rochester was covered by clouds, so we had no luck seeing them. Two of our Watchers, Brian H and Pat were at the lake, hoping to see them.

Egg shifts #2 for the season! They're staying pretty consistent...generally 6, occasionally 8 changes per day!

And a more consistent start of the first shift after sunrise.
