Sometimes, if you ask nicely and provide a good justification and the IP address, you can get special dispensation.

Not my boss, He didn't want to give me email access and I need that for my job. For a while had to keep asking him to check the email and then he would print it out for me. Til it got to be to much of a pain for him. Let alone it was a constant pain for months for me.  hyper

Ok, my boss it the IT Director for the network stuff, so it is a bit easier for me to ask.  Seriously, ask - there's lots of educational material here and for lunchtime etc, you could probably make the case.

When the accounting firm where I worked for eleven years finally got network internet access, I still insisted on a modem under my desk.  I took a lot of grief for that, but I used it quite a bit to send timely transfers, direct deposits, and tax deposits, when the "foolproof" network access was down.
Picture me sending file amounts bigger than my year's salary, via my own AOL account scared blue

Nobody saw me in my office with tears running down my face at the news of Isaura's death, or when Mariah was hurt and mantling the babies while Kaver fed them all...  I kept the kfalconcam site open in the background most of the time there...  Mostly it was stress relief  secret2

Nope, that is my Main Man, Grand Champion Rakiscats Chardin Klees, aka Charly, who came to me at five years old. He is a Chestnut Shaded Silver Oriental Shorthair.  He is now a happy go lucky neutered boy of eleven, still gorgeous, and a sweet sweet boy.  happy

chicki here. trying to check in with what's going on with the "kids" in Rochester. Is J still injured/reinjured? I saw somewhere that the same people that are taking care of him, also took care of Mariah.  When i get back home, I want to donate to whomever they are (I don't remember who I donated to when Mariah was injured). Please send me an email, if you would, and let me know where to send it to.... chicki@chicki.com
Thanks!

Quick Jemison update for today (7/5/10).  I spoke to the rehabber this afternoon and was told that the XRays were put off until tomorrow (7/6/10.  Nothing wrong with Jemison, it was just that the Vet was unable to do them today.

Gary told me that Jemison's wing was not drooping as badly as it had been when we first brought him in.  He asked if I could come out for a quick visit to give my opinion.  I said sure and asked if fellow Watcher Kathy O could accompany me.  He said sure.

When Kathy and I arrived, we very briefly took a look at Jemison, who stared back at us intently.  I definitely see improvement in the way the wing is positioned.  The drooping of his right wing was very evident when we watched him on the north side of the Time Square bldg.  This to me was a very positive sign (again my opinion only).

Jemison has been eating well on his own and drinking.

So, we have to wait for the results of the XRays tomorrow.  I hope Jemison is ok and will be able to return to his family soon.
