I get out for a drive about once a week to check out the scenery and wildlife. On my last trip (among other things) I saw Angel, the horse that I fell in love with a couple trips ago down here to Arkansas-she lives on Blue Jay Road.
The dead tree Milo, the cat was stuck in is surrounded by life as the trees have been flowering and leafing out for the last 2-3 week down in the holler out back of the house.
The songbirds have been busy at the feeders and although I've seen them elsewhere, I saw my first pair of Blue Jays in the backyard since I've been here. They are one of my favorite backyard birds!

Hi Diane!
My sister saw her oncologist today before her 7th chemo treatment and he was quite pleased with how she's reacting to the treatments and said her blood work was perfect again. She will have another scan done on April 15th to see if the tumor has shrunk and we'll go see her oncologist on the 18th to get the results. Fingers crossed!
I've heard about the bad weather in Rochester-not to rub it in, but it has been sunny with temps in the 70's the last couple days!

Hello from paradise!
I finally got a couple pics of a Pileated Woodpecker-albeit they were quite a distance from me in the holler out behind the house. I also got some shots of a pair of Northern Flickers in a tree in the backyard. And more pics of Egyptian Geese.
I stopped by my niece, Lorri's place so I could photograph her menagerie of pets. She moved to Arkansas 9 years ago with 2 dogs-Jody and Jada. Since she's been here she has rescued 6 dogs and rehabbed a couple that couldn't walk with their back legs. I'm proud of this girl-my sisters' love of animals has surely been handed down to her kids!
Saw some Meadowlarks-such a pretty yellow on them and I love their song. Took some pics of wild flowers along my journey and managed to spot a Red-shouldered Hawk standing in a nest on Gooseberry Road(a dirt road that I call the woodpecker woods cuz I always see plenty of them there.
Enjoy my photo album and short videos by clicking on the links.

Hello everybody!
My latest photo album and videos include all 4 of the Egyptian Geese that reside on the ranch here in paradise swimming in a pond on the dirt road my sis lives off of called Spanker Creek Rd. There was also a Great Blue Heron in that pond.
Most of the rest of the pics are from a camping trip we had on Beaver Lake. My sis Mary Ellen, her husband Mike and their 3 boxers and I were on a site by the boat launch and dock. Next door was my niece Lorri, her boyfriend Brad and 6 of their 8 dogs. Both sites were situated on the lake with trees separating them.
Brad brought his clippers as my sister was ready to shave off what little hair she had left from the chemo treatments. She went first, then Brad shaved my head and Lorri shaved his head. Mary Ellen said it was ok to show her on fb so there's a pic of the 3 of us in my album as well. What a beautiful camping experience as I haven't been camping in over 20 years when I had a tent. Trailers are way more convenient and comfortable! I hope you like my album and 4 videos. See ya!
