Dorothy & Erie's daughter from 2003 *Hathor
Update on the Mt. Clemens nest: Today Chris Becher and Barb Baldinger checked to see how many more eggs were laid in the SE corner of the Macomb County Building. Hathor was sitting tight and kept that news a secret. Maybe we'll get a count next time!

Hathor is a same-year sister to Belle. I wish they knew what happened to her this year..no sign of her since "new girl" moved in with Allen.

Today is day 32 for egg 3.
I just caught this picture and Dorothy is razorback and antsy. I realize it's warm there, but looks interesting to me:

She just gave the baby a good feed at 12.40. Baby was up, bright and alert and eating. I'm hopeful the wee one will make it. Look at how long our kids didn't eat, what with DC or B bickering over food the first few hours.

Whew! Thanks, Carly. I know they can go a good while without being fed after hatching, but apparently there is some not so good history at that nestsite with that, so there was some concern. Glad there is good news.
