Posted to FB by Betty Ann:

Today NJ DEP's Kathy Clark, Wildlife Biologist and Ben Wurst of Conserve Wildlife Foundation, will be coming to check on and treat the eyases. If warranted, there is a possibility of removing one of the chicks and bringing it to the Jersey City nest site where it would be adopted by the adult falcons there. The JC nest only has one eyas so this would ensure more attention and food for the adopted eyas. However, Kathy and Ben will be assessing the situation today before determing that move.

Thanks for the video, Paul. Cadence outside. Feel bad for her but probably best because her mate is not a good provider.  Sad

I think all 4 are back in, I saw 4 heads and this just posted:

We're on a mission today with NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife to visit several peregrine #falcon nests in N. Jersey. Two of those nests (Elizabeth/UC Courthouse & Jersey City) have webcams on them. In Elizabeth we assessed the health and medicated all four eyases for tricomoniasis, a pigeon borne disease. They all look great and we're happy to get a free meal of raw chicken (with their medication).

Now we're headed to Jersey City to assess the health of the lone eyas, remove unhatched eggs, and possibly foster some orphan falcons in their nest.

Tune in to watch the Jersey City #FalconCam when we go onto the roof around 12:30-1pm.

I saw only 3 moves from the cooler to the igloo (how ironic is that?), but that 3rd scoop may have been a bird in each hand.

That’s all I saw too, Paul. Jersey City has 2 fosters plus their one hatch so maybe from another scrape?

I've not watched Jersey City until today, so I don't know which is which.  The two with the mom look bigger than the outcast in the corner, which doesn't look well at all.

Apparently the NJ baby hasn't been well the past 2 days so good they gave them some fosters.

Hey all, as you can see there are now three 10-11 day old eyases in the nestbox. After assessing the health of the lone JC eyas, which was not good for a five day old, we decided to keep him for further evaluation/treatment and then we will foster him into another nest with young that are around the same age. The decision to do this was the best option for this nest and the orphaned young (who were from a nest that was found during construction on the Goethals Bridge). We'll be writing up the full story in a lengthy nestbox news entry later this week. Thank you all for the support!
