Such sad news to wake up to this morning. But as someone else said here, we will not give up til Archer and Beauty do!

News from The Loch is also not wonderful, as there is now sign of hatching with the Lady. Mother Nature sure does make some tough decisions on our behalf.

05.38, and there is Faithful Archer in the NB. Awaiting word from MAK (if you are mobile today!) as to what's happening.

Oh dear. So sad to watch! I think her vocalising made it even sadder. But if we are with them during the good times, guess we should be there during the bad.

close up - certainly not empty, but certainly not full either, guessing it became nonviable and just shrunk from dehydrating, hoping it was the first one that sat for so long and the next two hatch soon!

I am now seeing a white mark --beginning of a break in an egg -- on one of the two remaining eggs.  It was in the front of the nestbox just before 4 pm.

I saw it too just  after 4 pm.  I 'm not sure if that is anything, or that same white spot that we've been seeing before this.   I remarked on a white spot on an egg the other day, but it had been noted earlier.

I think it's the same white spot that's been there since the egg was laid.

Phooey!  Looks like another one broken.

Well, if a reclutch is possible, I believe the current clutch needs to be gone first

Just saw a crack in the other egg. B got up and was mantling. 8:03. Around 8:05 to 8:06 I saw the crack around the circumference.

Sad    After all those hours of sitting, it has to be heartbreaking for Beauty.   The way she is looking at the egg looks sad.
