We want to thank all of you for your donations to GVAS & Rfalconcam during ROC the Day.

With your help, we raised nearly $1,500! Because of this, we and Genesee Valley Audubon will be able to continue sharing this unique look into the world of an endangered species, the Peregrine Falcon.

But, that’s not all! Because of your generosity, GVAS & Rfalconcam were one of four nonprofit groups chosen to receive an extra $5,000!!!

The 2012 Rochester Falcons in Toronto calendar is now for sale.

We have had the unique and wonderful experience of following our eyases: Rhea Mae (2006), Linn (2007), and Quest (2008), mature into adulthood and raise fledglings of their own. This calendar features pictures of them as eyases and fledglings in Rochester and as adults, along with their families, in Canada. Many thanks to our friends at the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for helping us share this experience.

ROC the Day has started!

Rfalconcam has a chance to win $5,000, here’s how:

Rochester Area Community Foundation will award a $5,000 prize to local nonprofits in each of these four categories that attract the most “unique” donors (based on billing address) during ROC the Day:
•   Arts & Culture
•   Community Benefit and Economic Development
•   Environment
•   Human Services

Rfalconcam is registered in the Environment category.  So if Rfalconcam has the highest number of unique donors then the Rochester Area Community Foundation will give us $5,000.  The Environment category has under 50 not-for-profits agencies, compare that to the Human Services which has over 300 agencies and the other categories both have over 100 agencies competing for the $5,000.

Being a unique donor means multiple gifts from one donor with one billing address to one organization can be counted only once.  So this is not about how much one gives or how many times, but how many different people give to Rfalconcam.

We know that the Rfalconcam community is unique.  It is consist of many wonderful people.  Now its time for us to show Rochester how unique we are.   If everyone that watches the cameras gave just $5 we could win $5,000!

Calling all ROCstars! ROC the Day, the Greater Rochester’s first-ever, community-wide day of giving, is only 4 days away. Join us on December 8 as we come together to ROC the Day for more than 600 not-for-profits, including rfalconcam.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Do your kids have to program your cell phone for you? Is your remote just a little too tricky? If yes, rest assured…giving during ROC the Day is going to be simple. Here’s how it will work:
1. Go to www.ROCtheDay.org
2. Choose rfalconcam (listed in the Animals or The Environment categories)
3. Give with a simple, one-time online donation

500 reasons to give on December 8.
Every ROCstar donor, INCLUDING YOU, will have a chance to win an extra $500 for the charity of your choice. All you have to do is give a gift on December 8 to any participating organization preferably rfalconcam. Twenty-four people will be randomly chosen to get a free bonus added to their gift.
