A Frozen Falcon Watch – 1/30/10

From Rochester Falcon Watcher – Carol P.

As January comes to an end, can Spring be far behind?  I cannot wait!  Although the temperature had dipped into the single digits, I still wanted to get out for a Falcon Watch.  Was Beauty still hanging out downtown?  How about all the other Falcons we had been seeing?  When the clouds parted and the day brightened, I headed out.  First Irondequoit, then downtown.  You can see what I saw here in my album and report from today.  No sign on needed.

Enjoy!

From Rochester Falcon Watcher Carol P.

Today we found not one, not two, not three, but four adult Peregrine Falcons.  You can read all about it in this album.

Enjoy!

Happy New Year Watch – 1/1/10

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

11 Watchers gathered on the Broad St. Bridge at noon on Janurary 1st. We were there to Ring in the New Year and toast to a successful Falcon season in 2010.

Beauty was there. She did a lot of flying, scaring up the local Pigeons.

We only stayed about an hour and 1/2 due to the frigid temperatures.

The Watchers gathered on the bridge were Larry O, Dan S, Kathy O, Lynda, Tim, Lisa McK, Marcia, Dana, Lou, Jeanne and Carol P.

Happy New Year to all of the Rochester Falcon Fans!

Carol P.
