Morning Watchers: Dana, Kathy O, Lisa McK, Larry O & Carol P.
Weather: After a whole bunch of glorious rain yesterday, it was a much cooler and less humid morning. Nice not to start our watch in sauna-like conditions.
The first falcon I found this morning was Hope up on the B&L bldg. Dana spotted a falcon eating on the east side of the Geva Theater. I do believe this was Roc. Later, I believe we saw both Geraki & Roc on Widows Walk. I really wish it was easier to ID these two. Hope is so easy, with her cute little eyebrows. lol Beauty was also seen during the morning watch.

Weather: Very warm and humid. Lots of clouds and breaks in the clouds. Rain this afternoon. Hopefully!
It was very humid right from the beginning of our morning watch. I first found Beauty on the Frontier Communication Tower, on the NE box.
From there, I made my way around downtown. Both Geraki & Hope were on the Five Star Bldg. There was a lot of flying and food during the watch. Beauty and Dot.ca were both seen.
At one time, I had 4 in the air. My gut says Roc was in the mix, but we couldn’t prove it. Geraki and Roc look so much alike. Unless they’re sitting next to each other for size comparison, it’s almost impossible to tell them apart. Colored bands would have been very helpful.
Hopefully, we’ll get a picture of all 3 together again soon.
Here are some pictures from my morning watch. Enjoy!

Weather: Very warm and humid. Temp was already up to 80 degrees when my morning watch started. It’s going up to mid-90’s again today. Hoping for rain tomorrow.
The majority of our watch took place on the now closed Riverside Hotel. Dana first spotted Beauty up on the SW corner antenna. I was out walking around the city, so I headed over to the corner of Main St and South Ave. From there, I could see two juvies eating on the east side of Riverside. It was Geraki & Hope.
After they ate, they both took off and flew over the downtown area, talon tagging. Hope ended up on Mercury’s leg and Geraki flew past the Times Square Bldg. We believe she ended up on Widows Walk.
Larry O joined Kathy, Dana and I near the Frontier Communication Tower, where Beauty and Dot.ca were both located.
We had hoped to see all 3 juvies together, but couldn’t verify that we saw Roc this morning. He could be taking day trips and hunting on his own. Hopefully he’ll return to his family soon.
Here are some pictures from the morning watch. Keep cool everyone! Enjoy!
Weather: Hot, hazy and humid. Temps in the 80’s this morning going up to mid-90’s this afternoon, with a heat index close to 100. The next rain is forecast for the weekend. We really need rain! Heat Advisory!
This morning was Roc-less. 🙁 We had a lot of activity by Beauty, Hope and Geraki. A couple feedings. Both girls had huge crops by the time our watch ended.
Near the end of our watch, Dot.ca flew through from the south. He ended up on the Frontier Communication Tower. It is that time when our juvies will be taking day trips. Hopefully, Roc will be seen tomorrow morning with his sisters.
Here are some pictures from the morning watch. Enjoy! and stay cool!
Morning Watchers: Dana, Kathy O, Larry O and Carol P.
Weather: Really warm and humid. Lots of clouds, which made it bearable. Going up into the 90’s later today.
We spent most of our watch traveling around the area near the Times Square Bldg, where we were able to find all three juvies. Beauty was at the Powers Bldg. I don’t think we saw Dot.ca during the morning watch.
There was a lot of flying, chasing, talon tagging and attempted hunts by our juvies. Roc had food up on the Times Square Ext, that may have been a cache or something he caught. We did not witness him successfully hunt.

Morning Falcon Watchers: Dana, Kathy O, Larry O & Carol P. With a visit from Jackie, who wants to be a fledge watcher next year. 🙂
Weather: Warmer than yesterday, since there was no cool breeze. When we ended our watch it was 81 degrees. Expected to go up to 92 degrees this afternoon. Warmer days ahead for us.
Time to change our reports from Fledge Watch Reports to Falcon Watch Reports, now that our young ones have successfully fledged.
Today’s watch started with finding all three juvies on the Thomson Reuters Bldg. Geraki was taking her turn at breakfast, while the others watched. Beauty was on the corner of the Powers Bldg and Dot.ca was on the 2nd Ibeam down on OCSR. So, all five Rochester Falcons seen early in the watch.
There was a lot of flying and landing on the buildings surrounding the Times Square Bldg. One juvie was chasing the pigeons over the Times Square Bldg parking lot. It’s only a matter of time before they successfully hunt.
It was a beautiful morning!
As we ended our watch at 10:15 am, we stopped on the Andrews St Bridge. From there, we could see Hope on the base of Mercury. Beauty was on OCSR and another juvie was on the north end of Cross Rds. The temperature was rising and it was time to head home.
Here are some pictures from the morning watch. Enjoy!
Weather: Nice morning with a cool breeze and low humidity. Temps expected to go up into the 90’s later today.
After a very loud evening of fireworks everywhere, I wanted to get downtown early to take a headcount of our Rochester Falcons. A big thank you to Pat, Jeanne and Larry O for checking on them yesterday afternoon.
My watch started when I spotted Beauty on the Frontier Communication Tower. Next was Hope with food on Thomson Reuter. A dark headed juvie was sitting on Mercury’s head. I couldn’t tell if it was Roc or Geraki.
Later during the watch, Hope was sitting on Widows Walk when Beauty flew in with food. Hope tried to grab it, but Beauty wanted to beak feed. That lasted a few minutes before Beauty gave up and left the food with Hope. Hope does love her food. lol
Geraki flew in from Mercury’s foot and wanted a bite. Beauty grabbed the food from Hope, who was just sitting on it, and gave it to Geraki. Hope moved in to try to get it back, but Geraki was mantling the food. Hope finally gave up and walked to the other side of Widows Walk, leaving Geraki to her breakfast.
I was checking out the Frontier Communication Tower, when Roc flew in, crying loudly. He landed below the platform. Hope flew in and landed on the north side railing. Dana had Geraki on the west side of Widows Walk. That made all three juvies seen this morning.
All three took off and there were four falcons flying above City Hall. Dot.ca was up there with them. I didn’t see any food, but there may have been.
The sky was filled with flying juvies, talon tagging and chasing each other. Love it!
Two juvies landed on Cross Rds, and Dot.ca landed on OCSR. Maybe the third juvie was somewhere with food?
The temps started to rise and we ended our watch just before 10:30 am.
Here are some pictures from my morning watch. Enjoy!
